BOOK BUCKS
Frequently Asked Questions
How to Use Book Bucks in OrderPro
How to Use Book Bucks by mail or fax
What are Book Bucks?
If a book happens to be out of stock at the time of your order, you will still
get commission, sales credit & hostess books based on the sale. A
"book bucks" page will be included along in the box at the bottom of
the yellow packing slip.
It is best to avoid book bucks & help your customer choose an alternate
title. This will get the book to the customer sooner, save you time & save
the company the additional shipping cost. Be sure to check (print & take)
the out of stock list to your event so you can help steer away from out of stock
titles. The OS list link is at
www.ubah.com/consultants at the very top center.
What do the colors in Order Pro mean?
Books highlighted in
yellow have just gone out of
stock w/in the past 7 days & are coming back. If ordered,
you'll get book bucks for this item.
B ooks
highlighted in green have
been out of stock for more than 7 days and cannot be ordered at this time.
B ooks
are highlighted in red are
out of print and no longer available.
You may wish to contact
your customer to order something different. It is best to check and
print out the Out of Stock List (on the
Consultant Website) before
you go to your shows and print a copy to help avoid OS/OP titles
from being ordered if possible..
The OS List will give you an estimated date of arrival for the books (if
it is known). This is an estimate only so don't promise this date.
NOTE: Some titles on the Out
of Print list have new editions that may already be available.
Why are the books not just shipped when they come back in stock?
Book Bucks give you or your customer the option of selecting something different than
originally ordered to get something right away if desired OR you can wait for that book to get back in stock.
Since they are giving you that choice, the books are not automatically shipped when they
come back in stock. It is your responsibility to keep track of the book
buck number, watch the out of stock list for the order items to come back in
stock, and submit the book buck at that time.
What if the order was shipped to the Hostess & I don't have the book
buck?
That's ok. If you are submitting the order via OrderPro, you just need the
reference number from the upper right corner of the book buck. You can get
that from the hostess or from the order confirmation that comes to you via email. You can see on that page what book bucks were given for.
You'll want to call the hostess and tell her not to do anything with the book
buck page; that you'll take care of those orders. You may want to call the
customer & see if they'd rather have something else right now or wait for
the item to get back in stock.
Do I have to pay additional shipping?
No, the company covers the cost of shipping! They are shipped to one
location - the customer, the hostess, or to you. If you select items over the amount of the book buck, you will pay
the overage.
This is costly for the company, so please don't overuse this benefit.
Remember to check the Out of Stock list at
www.ubah.com/consultants before every event and offer an alternate book
selection when someone selects an out of stock book. When book bucks are
used, try to combine them with other book orders to save on shipping costs.
What if there are more than one customer's order on a book buck?
Decide where you want them shipped - maybe to you or the hostess to be separated
& given to the customers.
Book Bucks are used for all types of sales EXECPT School & Library
orders.
For a school or library order, if a book is not
available the school or library will not be invoiced for that book and
you will not get sales credit or commission for that book, unless they
request Backorders. If Backorders are requested, the books will
automatically be shipped & invoiced when they get to the pick line,
and you will get sales credit that day and commission the second week of
the following month on the usual schedule for School & Library
orders.

How do you use Book Bucks?
~ if you're using OrderPro:
1. Select New Order.
2. On Hostess Info screen, type in the name & address you'd like the book to be shipped to. Select Ship To Hostess (even if she wasn't the hostess - that just means the address you typed above), unless you'd like it to come to you.
3. On the Order Type screen, select BB for Book Buck.
4. On the Select Books screen, enter Reference # (order number from the upper right corner of the yellow book bucks page
& packing slip) and
total $ amount of the book buck. Select books you'd like.
This may be the same book or something different. If you go over the amount of the book buck, you will be charged the overage amount. If you select the same book or something the same price, there will be no charge.
5. If you have more than one book buck, you can add them together! On the dropdown menu under Book Bucks, select Add New & enter the info on the next book buck.
These will all be shipped together & save the company $, plus this way you can combine the amounts.
6. On the Print or Transfer screen, select Print or Preview to approve it before transfering the order. Use the dropdown menu beside View Page to see each page. If everything looks right, click Transfer!

BETTER STILL - You may also add Book Bucks on to a home show, direct sale, bookfair, or supplies
order.
On your show order, on the Select Books screen, select Book Buck at the bottom of the middle
Selection Type drop down menu.
Continue as above. It is nice to save the company $ by combining book
bucks to an order if you have one going in soon.
